VISION QUEST

Four years ago I heard a call I didn't understand.

Bring your story to the land. Partner with me. Honor your grief. Lay it down here and walk with me.

I went. Four days alone in the Appalachian wilderness. No food. No four-walled shelter. No way to perform anything.

The land stripped away everything I'd been hiding behind and showed me what was actually true.

The identity I was clinging to was already dead. I just hadn't let myself grieve it yet.

There, up on that mountain, I laid down the broken tools I had been carrying.

And the land held me while I did.

WHAT THIS IS

Nine days. Not a retreat. An initiation.

You come together in community first — held, witnessed, sharing your story around the fire.

Then you go deeper. Alone. Four days and nights in the wilderness. No food. No four-walled shelter. No distraction. No performance.

Just you and the deepest questions you carry.

The wilderness doesn't give you what you want. It gives you what you need.

It shows you the pattern. The wound. The cost you've been refusing to acknowledge. The identity that's already dead. The story that's been a lie.

And if you can stay with it — if you can let what needs to die actually fall away — something profoundly shifts.

Not better. Different. Simpler. More honest. More alive.

THE THREE PHASES

Severance. You leave behind what is familiar — literally and metaphorically. You root into the rhythms of nature and attune to your intention. Something has to be released before something new can arrive.

Threshold. Four days alone. Water fast. No shelter. You enter the terrain where unseen things become visible — within your own psyche, within the natural world. This is where the real work happens.

Incorporation. You return. Nourishment awaits. The group holds your story. What you carried in is not what you carry out. Integration begins — and continues for months after.

THIS IS FOR YOU IF

You've been standing at a threshold for months. Maybe years.

You know what needs to change. You just haven't taken the action.

You're successful on the outside but feeling a real lack of resonance inside.

You're exhausted from performing and ready to face what's underneath.

You're done waiting. Done planning. Done strategizing around what you already know needs to happen.

WHY TWO GUIDES

No one should walk this path alone. Not because it's dangerous — because it's sacred.

The symbolic and emotional deaths required for who you actually are to emerge need to be witnessed. Held. Honored.

I co-guide this with Darren Silver who carries two decades of guiding in the heritage of the tracker. He has walked this path many times. So have I. Together we hold what one person alone cannot.

Bring your story, your grief, your questions, your truth to the land.

Be held.

See what the land shows you.
